THE best type of cake there is. I never pass up an opportunity
for chocolate fudge cake- if it’s on the menu, nothing else stands a chance. Best
served hot with vanilla ice cream. This recipe comes from Delia’s ‘Chocolate’
cookery book and is very easy and fairly invincible.
Ingredients
175g self raising flour
1 rounded teaspoon baking powder
175g butter
175g light brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 rounded tablespoon cocoa powder
Preheat the oven to 170°C.
Weigh out the flour. Remove 1 rounded tablespoon flour and add 1 rounded
tablespoon cocoa powder. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix. Pour into a
greased cake tin and bake on the middle shelf for 30mins. Leave to cool on wire
rack before icing or dusting with cocoa powder.
